Skanz
Robert Scanlan illustrated Royal Blue, ROBOT TED Forgets His Head & The Gonnstirr Monsters of Gonrockman.
Drawn to art at an early age, Robert studied Fine Arts at Canterbury University.
Robert teaches & promotes his art at the Brighton Gallery, where he is a founding member & actively involved in its operation. He believes every artistic expression is a valid art form, encouraging individual artists to pursue their own creative interests.
Also a cartoonist, Robert’s work regularly features in Funtime Comics.

Robert was helped by many artists (young & old), in illustrating ROBOT TED Forgets His Head & The Gonnstirr Monsters of Gonrockman. He invited Brighton Gallery artists & visitors to participate by adding watercolour or a character to the book's illustrations.
“I like the environmental message Royal Blue offers. ROBOT TED Forgets His Head is a fun story, children love. Brighton Art Gallery is a community trust. Gallery members & visitors contributed feedback and input. The Gonnstirr Monsters of Gonrockman is a fun story and there's a message there too.”

Samantha Hart
Samantha Hart is a 16 year old Wellington student with a passion for the arts.
Samantha is involved with performing arts as a circus performer & creating illustrative artwork. She took right to the opportunity of illustrating an ecological children’s book because she believes the message in Sammy the Rooster is an important one.
“Sammy is a character with attitude, though he also has a soft side. I loved bringing 'Sammy the Rooster' to life. Initially, I was slow working digitally. Now I’ve so much confidence. If you give things a go, it’s amazing what you can achieve! I love the book's environmental message too."
